Get your bike tuned up! There is great variety of mountain bike terrain. Roads (paved and dirt), trails, paths, roads and a bit of bike push section and it wouldn’t be complete without a small bit of a bush bash. We trust you will never be bored with such great biking diversity.
山地越野跑 Mtn Trek -12 km / 8 mi这次比赛的越野跑赛道融合了历史人文与自然风光，但有些部分并不那么容易。所以不要被里程所欺骗了，这段路线非常艰难。准备好各种爬升和下降，还要小心可能扭伤脚踝的碎石。这段路线混合了不同地形，从漂亮的硬石路，到羊肠小道，还有在山巅陡峭处越过石堆的部分。The trekking for this race is historic and scenic, with some sections that are not so easy. So don’t be deceived by the mileage..this trek is a tough. Be prepared for elevation gain and loss and bit of ankle twisting rubble. Thiscourse is full of mixed terrain. Traditionally Primal Quest has been limitedto 4 person coed teams. The Primal China 24hr Invitational is an introductory 24hr race. We worked hard to design a race which represents the perfect combination of adventure disciplines where participants will get to experience the magic of adventure racing, while still tackling a challenging course with all of the classic elemental disciplines.
原始征途中国24小时邀请赛的设计中，仍然为参赛选手提供原始征途远征赛中的所有项目，其中包括：越野跑，山地车，皮划艇和绳索技巧等。参与原始征途中国24小时邀请赛的队伍应在比赛开始前打包所有装备，比赛开始后将不提供任何外部援助。组委会将提供支持，负责把你的装备箱和物资箱运输到转换区。本次比赛将有3个转换区，队伍可以在这里取用物资箱内的物品/重新打包物资箱。对于对探险赛感兴趣、想尝试的人来说，这次比赛将这是一个很好的选择。The Primal Quest China 24hr Invitational course is designed to still offers all of the physical and mental challenge of the Primal Quest Expedition epic course and includes: trail run, mountain bike, flat water paddle and rope disciplines. PQ China 24hr Invitational teams are responsible for packing all equipment priorto the race start and do not receive any outside assistance once the event has started. We support this race for you and will deliver your gear and resupply boxes to each transition area for you. Your gear and supply boxes will be available toyou at 3 points throughout the course. For those interested in learning, training or just trying adventure racing this is a great option for you.
原始征途的一个独特之处在于，直到比赛开始前几个小时，比赛线路和地图的具体细节都是保密的。参与原始征途中国24小时邀请赛的选手们将会在比赛开始前一周收到物资计划书，以便队伍准备比赛期间的装备和食物。赛前的物资计划书列出了大致的赛道布局——各个阶段的比赛项目、距离、要准备的关键装备和装备箱的移动路线，这样可以让参赛队伍在不知道确切赛道的情况下，合理的准备装备。在赛前几小时，组委会将提供一份更加详尽的物资计划书，其中包含赛事地图和团队手册，详细描述整个赛道情况，相关的物资信息和预期的完赛时间。本次赛事中，选手在获得地图后，将有充足的时间把装备与自带的补给物资装到组委会提供的箱子中。One of the unique attributes of Primal Quest is the fact that the specific details of the course and maps remain secret until a few hours before the event starts. PQ China 24hr Invitational competitors are provided with a logistics planner approximately a week before the start which allows teams to organize their gear and food into some kind of order. The pre-race logistics planner outlines the broad lay out of the course– individual stage disciplines, distances, and any key gear or box movements that the teams need to prepare for – which allows teams to get gear into decent order without giving the exact route away. A more detailed logistics planner is provided with course maps and team handbook which outlines, in great detail, the full course, related logistics and expected timing. PQ China 24hr Invitational teams will have more time with their maps and need to pack their gear box and food boxes after they get their maps.原始征途的哲学是致力于让参赛队伍由始至终感受到这是一次合乎逻辑、启发灵感的旅程。尽管有些队伍将这视为一场野外竞速，但大多数人会将原始征途视为一场探险之旅，只要在规定时间内完赛，就能获得无与伦比的成就感。The Primal Quest philosophy is to make the course feel like a logical and inspiring journey for teams from start to finish. Whilst some teams will ‘race’ their way through the wilderness, most should treat Primal Quest as an adventure journey that provides an unrivaled sense of fulfillment should teams complete the course in the time frame allowed.在比赛开始前，参赛队伍会收到一份团队手册和一套地图。团队手册包含了关于每一个检查点、转换区、必备装备和关门时间的信息。要完成比赛，参赛队伍必须在短线节点及整个赛道关门时间前，通过所有检查点后抵达终点。转换区是参赛队伍进行项目转换的区域。这为竞争激烈的队伍提供了短暂的休息时间，大多数队伍能够得到充足的休息。这些区域为参赛队伍休息区域以及重整装备的机会。PQ China 24hr Invitational are given a team handbook and a set of maps before the start. The handbook contains the description of each race checkpoint, transition areas, information about mandatory equipment and any cut-off points. To complete the full course of the PQ China 24hr Invitational teams must navigate through all the checkpoints and arrive at the finish line before any short course cut offs come into play and the course closes. Transitions are areas where teams change from one discipline to another. They provide a brief respite for highly competitive teams and a well-earned and welcome break for most. These areas may allow teams the opportunity for shelter, and a chance to stock up on supplies. 官方预计，在不计算天气及其他因素影响的情况下，获胜队伍将在12小时内完成比赛。所有参赛队伍都需在24小时内完成比赛。比赛中途将至少有一个短线关门节点，规定时间内未通过该节点的队伍将会被引导至短线赛道，以便让最慢的队伍加快速度完成比赛，但其最终成绩无法计入排名。原始征途鼓励并帮助尽可能多的参赛队伍到达终点，同时享受这激动人心的过程。It is expected that the winning teams forboth PQ China 24hr Invitational will complete the courses in approximately 12hrs, with weather and other mitigating factors having some influence on the final outcome. All teams in the PQ China 24hr Invitational event will be permitted up to 24hrs to complete the course. There will be at least one mid-race cut off which will allow the slowest teams on the respective courses to move towards the finish in an accelerated fashion. Primal Quest encourages and helps as many teams as practical to reach the finish line and at the same time experience themost exciting stages.
本活动作为原始征途登陆中国的首站比赛，为选手准备了实用且具有特殊纪念意义的参赛包、参赛服、完赛服。所有物品均为本次赛事专供。此外，本次赛事独创了别具一格的完赛奖杯，结合了探险赛4人一组的特色，极具代表性，效果图即将放出，敬请期待。
As Primal Quest's debut in China, we have prepared a variety of swags for athletes that are unique and special to this race. Additionally, this race has designed a Great Wall-inspired finisher trophy, integrating Adventure Race's team-of-4 tradition. This spectacular design will be revealed in the upcoming posts.
- 此次比赛涉及定向、越野跑、山地车、皮划艇和绳索技术等多项运动，每名参赛选手在报名前需确认自己及同队伍内各队友均具备各项运动的基本技能水平。赛事组委会将在比赛开始前对每位参赛选手进行技能检查，如参赛选手不具备赛事要求的基本赛事技能水平，组委会有权要求其退赛。比赛过程中选手出现不具备赛事要求的基本技能水平时，参赛队伍将被取消比赛资格，各参赛队伍需要在赛事期间对自己的安全负责。
- This race includes orienteering, trekking, mountain biking, kayaking and roping. Each competitor must have sufficient skills, experience and fitness to undertake an event of this nature. Primal Quest will conduct a skill check before the race. Every competitor and team must accept thatthey will be asked to leave the course if they deemed to have insufficientoutdoor skills, fitness or generally fail to meet the standards expected atPrimal Quest.
- 参赛选手需携带赛事要求的所有强制装备，赛事组委会将在比赛开始前进行检查，如参赛选手未按要求准备，组委会有权要求其退赛。
- Every competitor must carry all mandatory equipment required by the race. Primal Quest will conduct a mandatory gear check before the race. Every competitor and team must accept that they will be asked to leave the course if they do not have all mandatory gears at any given point of the race.
- 比赛过程中，参赛队伍如果因违规或其他原因失去比赛资格，或速度过慢，在关门时间后通过打卡点，组委会有权要求其离开赛道。
- Every team enters in the knowledge that if they become unranked, violate race rules, or fall a long way behind expected time estimates that the organizers are not obliged to allow the team to continue on the course
- 参赛队伍需同意责任告知书中所列出的条款，并在赛事报到时现场签署个人肖像权使用声明（报名成功后由组委会统一发送）。
- Teams must agree to the conditions,declarations and indemnifications outlined in the Waiver & Release form and sign the Personal Image Release form and be willing to sign at raceregistration. (These documents will be sent to the teams after they register successfully.)
- 因恶劣天气或其他不可抗力因素致使比赛不能按原计划进行时，出于对所有人员的安全考虑，组委会有权临时更改比赛路线、推迟比赛时间、提前终止比赛甚至取消比赛。
- If the race is cancelled due to natural disasters or other force majeure, the organizers may change the course, delay the race, stop or even cancel the race.
水上技能与装备 WATER SKILLS & GEAR
Note: This is minimal list of required water skills: - 自救/游泳 Self-rescue/Swimming
- 所有参赛选手需具备良好的水性，能连续游泳500米，并可自由调整在水中的方向。- All competitors should be confident in the water, be capable of swimming 500m, backstroke, sidestroke and sidestroke. - 上/下船，包括从水中上船 Enter/Exit Boat including Wet Entry
- 识别/处理危险情况（水流波动时的船体操纵，规避与减震操作）Identifying/Negotiating Hazards (current and water craft negotiation, avoidance/minimization techniques)
- 使用投掷袋 Throw Bag Use – 援助方与落水方均需掌握使用方法 For rescuer and swimmer
- 利用安全员 Using Safety Kayaker
注意，本次赛事用艇舱式皮艇，但不会提供浪裙。因此，组委会将准备水舀类物品。Please note that these kayaks are rotomolded plastic, and NO sprays skirts will be used. Therefore, a bailing device is mandatory.
绳索技能与装备 ROPE SKILLS & GEAR
你需要掌握绳索装备的正确使用方法，包括穿戴安全带、系8字结、使用下降装置等。It will be up to you to practice/know your equipment, belt your harness safely, tie a figure 8 knot, use your rappel device and prussic back up appropriately.
- 安全穿戴（双背带）Security (double-back strap)
- 锁扣与挂绳的正确连接 Biner/Lanyard attachment
- 能够克服在悬崖边缘下降的恐惧 Overcoming a difficult edge while descending
- 在固定路线上移动 Traversing fixed lines
- 使用锁具在保护站之间转移 Passing anchor points using lanyards with carabiners
- 安装下降装置 Loading rappel device
- 正确的身体姿势与下降方式 Body position & edge transition
- 手部制动时手的位置与正确操作方法 Brake hand placement & proper use
- 保持匀速下降（不能间断性跳跃） Staying in control – Speed/Control (ie no bouncing)
- 使用普鲁士抓结作为停止装置 Prussic tying and use as an autoblock
- 会急停操作（释放自动锁，使用普鲁士抓结停止下降） Demonstrating an emergency stop (releasing auto block and allowing the prussic hitch to stop the rappel)
* 参赛选手在比赛过程中须全程携带组委会发放的GPS导航设备，以便组委会进行安全监控。选手在报到现场需额外缴纳500元押金，赛后退还押金，如有损坏或丢失需照价赔偿。
* Competitors must wear the race-provided GPS tracker for safety purposes. Competitors will pay a 500 RMB refundable deposit before the race starts. If there's a loss or damage of the tracker, the competitor must pay in full.

公开报名名额仅限5队，报名者需在提交信息时缴纳每队1200元押金。在报名通过审核后，补齐全款即视为报名成功。如申请材料未通过审核或由于人数过多而报名未成功，押金全额退款。一旦报名成功，恕不接受转让与退款。
Only 5 spots for open registration. Teams have to pay 1200 RMB deposit when they register. Once their application is deemed successful, they must pay the rest of the fee in full as soon as possible to guerantee the spot. If the application does not meet the requirement, or the number of teams exceed the limit, the organizers will refund the deposit in full. Once the registration is processed, no refund or transfer will be accepted.

- Athlete's age must be at least 18 years or older.
- 有以下疾病的患者不宜参加本次比赛：先天性心脏病和风湿性心脏病患者、高血压和脑血管疾病患者、心肌炎和其它心脏病患者、冠状动脉病患者和严重心率不齐者、糖尿病患者和其他不适合剧烈运动的疾病患者。组委会有权终止身体情况不允许的选手参加比赛Anyone with severe medical condition is not fit for this race. Primal Quest can stop those with severe medical condition from racing at any point.
- 需要提供所有队员一年内符合要求的体检证明，及两年内完成的半马、全马成绩，相似距离越野跑或类似比赛的完赛证书Must provide every team member's the result of physical exam within the past year, and finishing certificates of any marathons, trail runs that were completed within the past 2 years.
- Valid ID (will check the originals during race registration)
- 报名成功后，需签署责任告知书，并将个人医疗信息提供给组委会Once registration is successful, every team member must sign the Waiver and Release, and provide medical information to the race.
